Maspalomas est une ville touristique au sud de l’île de Gran Canaria. La ville de Maspalomas est formée par l’étang du même nom, les dunes et la palmeraie, toutes d’une grande valeur écologique. Le district compte au total 29 plages et criques, dont les plages d’Inglés, Maspalomas et San Agustín, qui détiennent toutes le drapeau bleu décerné par l’Union européenne. Le complexe maspalomas plus haut de gamme, avec des hôtels chics, des résidences de luxe et le plus grand terrain de golf de l’île, est séparé de Playa del Inglés par un tronçon spectaculaire de 400 hectares de dunes, qui en 1994 ont été désignés parc national. Vous ne pouvez traverser les dunes qu’à pied ou à dos de chameau, ce qui vous fait croire que vous êtes dans une autre partie du monde tout à fait.
